It weighed thirteen pounds and was more than twenty-five inches long, on Tuesday, Texas Parks and Wildlife called an eleven-year-old's catch of the day a state record.
Kenny Schuette from Midway was fishing with his family at Lake Alan Henry last month. He reeled in this huge large mouth bass to earn the Junior State Record.
"At first I went up the driveway and showed everybody and they went down and stuck it on a stringer so it would survive," said Kenny Schuette.
Even though it was big enough to be a keeper, Kenny threw the fish back to earn the "Catch and Release" award.
