On July 13th four years ago, Lubbock Police officers were putting crime scene tape around the debris of a botched SWAT Operation.
The standoff started when a South Lubbock homeowner burned furniture in his yard. The SWAT team arrived and four hours later a Lubbock officer was down.
Evidence later showed "friendly fire" killed Cox. Police Chief Ken Walker resigned and another officer was fired after the standoff. Robinson ended up settling with the city for nearly $800,000.
