Lubbock Martial Artist Teaches Kids To Escape Abductors

Self defense could save your child from an abduction. That's the belief of some local martial artists, and that's why they've created a class just for kids.

The class is designed to teach students self-defense by showing them how to break away from an adult's grasp and what to yell to get attention.

"Basically, how to get away from situations, if they are in a situation where they are about to be abducted, understand how to draw attention from other adults and other kids," said Instructor Clay L'Onis.

The child endangerment classes are held at Tiger Clay's Elite Martial Arts. It's located at 7006 University. Sign-ups begin at 12:45 Saturday.
