Lubbock Naval Reservists Ship Out

Thirty-eight Lubbock Naval Reservists have been called to duty, now they're on their way to California. The reservists left from the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, Sunday morning. The battalion specializes in construction. They're going to California first where they will get 6 to 8 weeks of additional training. After that, they will be deployed to Southwest Asia - to relieve another battalion.

"I'm very proud. I'm very proud. I think all of the citizens of Lubbock should be supporting not only us, but all those serving as well," Ricardo Rocha said.
