Mayor McDougal Throws Hat In, Out Of District 83 Race

Lubbock Mayor Marc McDougal is not running for State Representative.

McDougal is eligible to campaign because he filed a treasurer with the Texas Ethics Commission. McDougal tells NewsChannel 11, he hired a consultant to discuss the possibility, but he will not be running for a state seat.

McDougal also said he will not seek re-election when his mayoral term is up in 2006.
