Sudan Man Burned In Trash Pit Fire - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A South Plains man is being treated for burns to 50% of his body. It happened around seven o'clock Thursday morning in Sudan, about 53 miles northwest of Lubbock.

That is where Lamb County officials say Greg Drew used diesel fuel to light a fire in a trash pit behind the high school. The fire flashed back at him and exploded.

Aerocare brought Drew to University Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition Thursday evening.
