Lubbock Plants Cherry Tree In Honor Of Foreign Visitors

Monday was planting season for a group of Japanese students. For the past 20-years Musashino City has been a sister city to Lubbock. Right now, 22 representatives from the Junior Ambassadors program are visiting the Hub City, and to show our appreciation and commitment to the program, a Cherry tree was planted at the Garden and Arts Center.

The Cherry tree symbolizes the many Cherry blossom trees that their city is known for, worldwide.
