Texas Tech Flag Flies At Half Staff In Honor Of Student - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Flags flew at half-staff at Texas Tech Monday in honor of a student.

Chris Chilcoat died Tuesday, July 12th from an apparent accidental drug overdose.

His friends told NewsChannel 11 Chilcoat had been taking a lot of prescription drugs. The Lubbock Medical Examiner is waiting for toxicology reports before ruling the exact cause of death. Chilcoat was a Sophomore at Texas Tech.
