The death of a Texas Tech student will send a 28-year-old woman to trial.

Tuesday, a Lubbock Grand Jury indicted Elaine Martinez on one count of aggravated assault with a weapon. The charge stems from an April 17th traffic crash. Lubbock Police say Martinez hit 22-year-old motorcyclist Cody Hughes with her van and fled the scene. She later turned herself into police. Hughes died the next day.
