The man who accused U.S. House majority leader Tom Delay of ethical violations is running for governor. Chris Bell announced his candidacy Thursday on the Democratic ticket. Bell is a former Houston Congressman. He calls Governor Rick Perry an inspiring leader and said he inspired him to run for governor. Bell adds he's frustrated over the failed school finance plans. So far, four people are seeking the governor's seat in 2006. Incumbent Rick Perry is on the Republican ticket, facing Carole Keeton Strayhorn. Chris Bell is running on the Democratic ticket and Kinky Friedman is petitioning for a spot on the Independent ticket.
