Police Rookies on Lubbock Streets

Thirty-five new police officers are patrolling the streets of Lubbock.

The police recruits hit the streets for the first time after 23 weeks of training at the Lubbock Police Academy. The rookies are not quite on their own just yet. For 15-weeks they will be trained in the field with a senior officer.
