Live Burn At Lubbock Airport - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A large cloud of smoke filled the sky above the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport Saturday, but there was nothing to worry about. The smoke is actually coming from the aircraft rescue Fire Fighter Training Facility. That is where a mock air craft is set on fire, so Lubbock fire fighters can train for plane disasters. The training is required by the FAA every few months.
