Local Events Scheduled for National Night Out

Lubbock residents are urged to stand in unity against crime and drugs.

Tuesday August 2nd is the "22nd Annual National Night Out," co-sponsored by the Lubbock United Neighborhood Association, Xcel Energy and Target Stores.    

From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., residents are asked to turn on their porch lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors.

A kick-off event will feature remarks from various city leaders. It will be held at 6pm - at Stumpy Hamilton Park - located at 22nd and Ave. X.
