Some repair work this week could really slow down your daily drive.
First, road crews will be working to widen the shoulders of Upland Avenue, between 82nd and 98th Streets. Four feet will be added to both sides of the existing road way. After that, seal coating will take place. Traffic will be forced to alternate, using just one lane. So if you can, take a different route this week.
Road patching is also underway along 34th Street between Indiana and Louisville. Patching will repair the pavement, in preparation for seal coating.
On Wednesday, road crews will finish out the week in South Lubbock, patching 82nd Street from Slide Road to Frankford Avenue.
