Lubbock Family Reaches Settlement In Wrongful Death Suit

What was expected to take two weeks took less than one day. A wrongful death lawsuit was settled Tuesday before testimony could begin.

That means Deerwood Construction, Trumble Steel Erectors and Trumble Crane and Rigging will pay the Tankersly family $3.1 million.

The family was suing for $13 million in the death of 46-year old Richard Tankersly. He was electrocuted during a construction accident on Brownfield and Indiana in 2003.
