Healthy Hugs

We see it a lot in sports...hugging.

At the University of North Carolina, they've been studying hugs and what a small gesture like that can do to the mind and body, and they've found the simple act of hugging reduced blood pressure and lowered levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

As you might guess, the study indicates more women benefit by hugging than men, but researchers hope this will become more common among men, if they know it's heart healthy to hug a friend.
