TROY, AL (WSFA) -

After playing his final game of his collegiate career in a 50-30 win over North Texas, Troy quarterback Brandon Silvers will get to strap on his Troy helmet one more time.

Silvers has accepted an invite to play in the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl down in Mobile.

The Senior Bowl is a chance for NFL scouts to get a last look at some of the players who will be eligible for the upcoming draft.

Silvers is the second Trojan in back-to-back season to play in the prestigious game following in the footsteps of former teammate Antonio Garcia.

Silvers finished his Trojan career with 87 total touchdowns (the most in Troy history), 10,684 passing yards, and 11,099 yards of total offense (both the second most in Troy history).

The Senior Bowl will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Jan. 27 and will be televised on the NFL Network.
