Condition Of Lubbock Girl Improves After Near Drowning

The 5-year-old who nearly drowned this weekend has been upgraded to satisfactory condition.

Up until now, Alanis Tijerina-Caraveo has been in critical condition. The 5-year-old was at a family party in the 500 Block of 78th Street Sunday. She was under water for five to ten minutes in the pool before she was found.

Near Drowning Serves as Reminder to Parents
She was left unsupervised for just minutes and now a five year old Lubbock girl is in critical condition at University Medical Center, but tragedies like hers can be prevented.
