Gas prices jumped five cents overnight for a new record high.
Lubbockites are now paying an average $2.39 a gallon. That's up from $2.34 on Tuesday. The only city recording higher prices in the state is Amarillo at $2.45. The increase comes as crude oil reaches a new record of $65 a barrel. Experts are blaming strong demand and international terror concerns for the increase.
