Our Food for Thought travels bring NewsChannel 11 to the East Slaton Highway for our first stop this week. The new Chisum Travel Center is a top performer, as is Corleone's Pizza and Deli inside. Corleone's is run by the same managers as Stella's Restaurant in town.

Next stop, Lawbowski's at 1205 13th Street. The health inspector tells NewsChannel 11 Chef Matt Britton really knows what he's doing. Britton says, "I just like to keep a very clean place. Going to culinary school they definitely teach you cleanliness and safety. I myself don't want a hair in my food or lipstick on my glass." Labowski's has been open less than a year and already they've been on the top performer list three times!
At 1205 Unviserity Avenue, there's another repeat top performer. Sazon's had zero critical violations again, and Treb's at 1823 Buddy Holly Avenue earns a perfect score again as well. This repeat top performer had zero critical violations.
Now for the low performer's. First stop: Gardski's at 2009 Broadway. Gardski's had four critical violations.
All critical violations were corrected on site. A manager at Gardski's said they have no further comment at this time.
Souper Salad at 6703 Slide road is the last stop in our report this week. Souper Salad had four critical violations.
All but the first critical violation were corrected on site. Souper Salad had two days to correct temperature problems. NewsChannel 11 tried to get a comment from a manager. All he would say is that everything is now 100%.
