Suspect Search Takes Lubbock Police Through North Lubbock Playa Lake

A man used a playa lake and tall weeds to hide from Lubbock Police Friday afternoon, near Erskine and Avenue U.

Police brought dogs in on the search just moments ago. A DPS helicopter is also being used. It apparently started as a traffic stop around four o'clock Friday afternoon. Three people inside, got out of the car and ran. It took police over an hour but they finally arrested one of the men on outstanding warrants. Another man was let go.

Lubbock Police are still searching for the third suspect. He's thought to be hiding in the playa lake, next to some tall grass. It is not known why the men ran.
