Gas prices have risen 17% in just the last few months putting Lubbock gas prices at $2.49 at most places around town. That's up 15-cents just this week. This past Tuesday drivers were paying $2.34 a gallon. Experts are blaming strong demand and international terror concerns for the increase in the price of crude oil.
