34,000 Students Return For First Day Of School

34,000 students spent the day warm and dry inside their classrooms. At Whiteside Elementary, Monday was the first day of LISD's pre-k pilot program called "SOAR."

60-students were accepted into the tuition based program to get an early start on their education. Frenship students head back to school Tuesday. While school in Idalou resumes on Wednesday.
