Folic Acid May Help Fight Alzheimer's Disease

Many times we've said that pregnant women need folic acid to protect against birth defects. Now, it seems that supplement is beneficial to the mom as well, according to the Journal of the American Medical Association.

Where researchers say folic acid appears to significantly reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease even more so than other nutrients, such as Vitamin E, and you don't have to take a supplement to get folic acid. It can be found in fruit, beans, whole grains, and leafy green vegetables.
