This morning school officials at Frenship ISD are gearing up for the first day of class. 5,800 students will begin classes at the district. We're told that is about 200 more than last year. Right now, all elementary schools are undergoing expansion for the growing population of students. School officials urge parents to leave early and be extra cautious this morning as they drop their students off.
"Frenship will have police officers at every location site to help traffic and get that flow of traffic going so that we can establish a pattern," says Linsae Snider, Frenship director of public relations.
Idalou ISD starts Wednesday.
