Controversial Changes in Airport Security

We take off our shoes for airport security, and walk through a metal detector, but some airports may be taking that a step further if the transportation security administration gets what it wants.

USA Today is reporting the TSA has asked two manufacturers to improve x-ray machines so they can reveal items that are hidden, without exposing a passengers' body parts. Apparently, these new x-rays use radiation that bounces off a person's skin to show images of metal, plastic and even organic materials that may be hidden under clothes.

Already, one civil liberties group is outraged calling the x-ray metal detectors "a virtual strip search."
