Three people are lucky to have only minor injuries after a rollover on I-27. The accident happened just North of New Deal on I-27 around 2 a.m. Sunday. DPS says 49-year-old Carol Kennedy was driving North on I-27 and swerved while trying to pass another vechile. The SUV started to skid into the median and then rolled. Emergency workers used jaws of life to get Kennedy out of the vehicle. Officials on the scene say their teamwork helps keep the vicitms stay calm after an accident.
"In situations like this, you can't really tell until we get here, it was pretty difficult, and like I said it's a team effort," Samuel Pineda with the New Deal Fire Department. Kennedy and her two passengers, 57-year-old John Kennedy and 18-year-old Janessa Corbet were all taken to UMC. They were all treated and released.
