Police Recruits Begin Training

Forty-two new police recruits will begin their career with the Lubbock Police Department Monday. The recruits will participate in 24 weeks of mentally and physically demanding training while going through the Lubbock Police Academy. There are 40 males and 2 females in this training class. You'll remember this is the academy that had problems with some cadets being told they wouldn't be allowed in because of funding.
