Lubbock Police Academy Begins Training Recruits - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

For the next 24 weeks, 42 people will be learning how to serve and protect Lubbock.

40 men and 2 women started the police academy Monday. The training will include both classroom and field instruction. You'll recall some of the recruits were told they wouldn't be allowed into the academy because of funding. But days later, the city was able to re-adjust and find the money.
