Three TAPPS Girls teams leave for State

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock will be well represented at the TAPPS Girls State Basketball Tournaments in Waco as three teams left town on Thursday.

In Class 4A, Lubbock Christian is heading back to State. The 5th ranked Lady Eagles face No. 1 Lake Country 9 a.m. Friday. This is the 5th meeting in the last six years for these two teams. They have split the last four meetings. You can watch the Lubbock Christian send-off to State here:

In Class 2A, The Southcrest Christian girls are heading to State for the first time ever. Head Coach Clay Stoudt has the Lady Warriors playing at a high level.

No. 6 Southcrest Christian plays No. 3 Red Oak Ovilla 6 p.m. Friday in Waco.

In Class 1A, The Kingdom Prep Girls are heading to State for the first time ever. 5th ranked KPA meets No. 3 Desoto Canterbury Christian 9 a.m. Friday in Waco.

The All-Saints Boys are at the TAPPS Boys State Tourney for 3rd straight year. The 3rd ranked Patriots Beat No. 1 Sherman Texoma 77-62 Thursday morning and will now play in the 2A State Title Game 11 a.m. Friday in West, Texas.
