BRAC Votes To Close Lubbock Naval Center

The Base Realignment Commission started voting on proposed closures of 62 military bases across the country Wednesday, and the Lubbock Naval Reserve Center makes the list.

BRAC voted to close the center which employs nine people. Those employees and 135 reservists will be relocated. We're still waiting to hear if Cannon Air Force Base will be closed. Hearings continue through Friday.
