Lubbock City Council Hosts Public Hearing Over Tax Rate - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

You have one more chance to voice your opinion on the city's tax rate proposal.

The council is proposing a one and a quarter cent property tax decrease. The average value of a home in Lubbock County is just over $91,000. So, the decrease would mean a savings of $11.50.

A final public hearing will be held Thursday morning at 7:30 am at city hall. Then council will cast its vote next month.
