Voluntary Meat Recall May Effect Albertson's Shoppers

If you shop at Albertson's, you may see a notice posted in the meat department.

It's a warning that certain packages of frozen beef patties be under a voluntary recall. The frozen patties were packaged by Flanders Beef. According to the company announcement, some patties may be contaminated with E-Coli.

If you have just purchased Flanders frozen beef patties as late as Tuesday, August 23rd, or if you have frozen any since March first of this year, you are advised to not eat this meat...even though there have been no illnesses reported so far.

Questions about the recall can be directed to an Albertson's Customer Care toll free hotline at (877) 932-7948.
