Changes Ahead On West Loop

Thursday afternoon, TX-DOT will make some major changes to the West Loop as part of the Marsha Sharp Freeway. Crews will open parts of the West Loop from 34th Street to just past Brownfield Highway. They will open the East and Westbound Brownfield Highway Frontage Roads at Brownfield Highway and Loop 289.

Drivers have had to take a turn around lane at 53rd Street while crews have worked on the Brownfield Highway overpass. The turn around will be closed. The 34th Street exit ramp on the Northbound Loop main lanes will also be open.

TX-DOT crews will make these changes over the next three days. They urge drivers to be cautious.
