The No.2 Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals are making their second appearance in the NCAA Division II Women Basketball Championship, after claiming a Heartland Conference Tournament title, and the NCAA announced during their selection show the Lady Chaps are serving as the top seed and hosting the South Central Region Championship Mar. 9-12 inside Rip Griffin Center.
The Lady Chaparrals are 28-1 and will put the nation's longest active home win streak (47 consecutive home wins) to the test as the top seed of the eight-team regional field. Their first game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Mar. 9 against eighth-seeded Tarleton State University.  Also included in the field is two-seed West Texas A&M, three-seed Colorado State-Pueblo, four-seed Angelo State, five-seed Black Hills State, six-seed Metropolitan State University of Denver and seven-seed Arkansas - Fort Smith.
The winning of the team tournament advances to the Elite Eight, scheduled for Mar. 19-23 in Sioux Falls, S.D. Here is a list of times for the South Central Region games:

Tickets go on sale Monday, March 5 at 8:00 a.m.  Advance tickets can only be purchased online at Tickets may also be purchased at the door (if not sold out).  There is no general admission seating.  All tickets will have a seat assignment and will cost $10 per session.
