ROSWEL, NM (KCBD) -

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is investing $3.6 million to repair the bridges west of Roswell on U.S. 70.  Work includes repair to bridge approaches, substructure repairs, and pavement resurfacing. The work is expected to begin March 8.

During this work, motorists can expect lane restrictions and temporary lane closures. Limited lane availability during this project will prevent wide loads up to 12 feet. The bridge work will be complete this winter, weather permitting.  Repairs will extend the life of each bridge and improve safety.
