LOCKNEY, TX (KCBD) -

After one season coaching the Lockney Longhorns, Richard Jackson will be replaced as head football coach.

Coach Jackson tells me he was told Lockney wanted to go in a different direction.

Prior to being the head coach, Jackson was the defensive coordinator at Lockney.

Lockney went 3-8 last season and made the Bi-District round of the playoffs.

Lockney ISD has posted the job as Head Football Coach/AD.

We wish Coach Jackson the best.
