(KCBD) - The third ranked Red Raiders saw their 14 game win streak come to an end as they lost 10-7 to No.5 Kentucky in cold conditions in Lexington.

The Red Raiders scored 3 runs in the first to take a 3-0 lead, but the Wildcats clawed back.

Davis Martin went 3 innings giving up 3 hits and 3 runs with 5 strikeouts.

Kentucky broke a 3-3 tie with 3 in the fifth. They added 3 more in the eighth to break it open.

The Red Raiders rallied with 3 in the 9th and brought the tying run to the plate as they battled to the end.

Texas Tech falls to 14-1. They face Kentucky in game 2 of this 3 game series at noon on Saturday.
