LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Texas Tech Red Raiders men's basketball team is headed to Dallas to face Stephen F. Austin in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Red Raiders enter the tournament as a three seed, their highest seeding since 1996. With so many Texas Tech students and Alumni being from Dallas, the trip is a homecoming for many players and students.

"Like I said, in Dallas it's going to be a great atmosphere for us with the Tech fans and with these guy's families there so it's going to be amazing," Justin Gray, Senior Guard/Forward, said in a press conference following the Red Raiders' Selection Sunday watch party.

For Tech fans making the trip, the Texas Tech Alumni Association will be hosting watch parties at Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar and Happiest Hour bar. Both locations are within a few blocks of the American Airlines Center - where the East region of the NCAA Tournament will take place.

If you plan on staying in Lubbock, 4ORE! Golf, will be hosting a viewing party.

"We have an official partner with 4ORE! Golf and it's a great venue out there. I don't even know how many televisions they have and we expect every one of them to be on our game against Stephen F. Austin Thursday night so we hope people go out there and enjoy it with other Red Raiders," Robert Giovannetti, senior associate athletic director for Texas Tech, said.

Tip-off will be at 6:27 PM Thursday on truTV.
