No. 5 Red Raiders beat No. 4 Louisville

(KCBD) - After losing two of three to then No. 5 Kentucky, the now 5th-ranked Red Raiders stayed in State to play No. 4 Louisville. Texas Tech took the opener in this two-game mid-week series 8-4.

Grant Little went 5-5 with 4 RBI. Josh Jung added 3 hits and scored 3 runs.

Tech's starting pitcher Ryan Shetter went 4 innings allowing 1 run on 1 hit with 2 strikeouts.

Like Texas Tech, Louisville started the season 14-0 and like the Red Raiders, they've now lost to in a row.

Texas Tech moves to 16-2 on the season. They close out the series at Louisville at noon on Wednesday.

The Red Raiders open up Big 12 Conference play this weekend at Baylor.
