You live on the South Plains, but have you seen all that the environment has to offer? That's what the Prairie Festival tried to show visitors Saturday at the Lubbock Garden and Arts Festival.
The event included outdoor exhibits with live animals like burrowing owls, prairie dogs and red-tailed hawks. Children also had the option to take guided field trips to prairie sites across the South Plains. The day-long event was hosted by the Llano Estacado Audubon Society.
