Flying Queens lose heartbreaker in NAIA Final 4

The 15th-ranked Wayland Baptist Flying Queens lost on a last-second shot 56-54 to No. 4 Westmont California in the NAIA Final 4 in Montana.

Wayland Baptist battled the whole way as Morgan Bennett hit a 3 with 29 seconds left to tie it at 54.

Westmont would hit the game-winning shot, getting a driving layup with 1.9 seconds left.

Maci Merket would miss a 3 at the buzzer from the top of the key.

Wayland Baptist finishes the season 27-7.

This trip to the Final 4 was Wayland Baptist's first in 26 years.

Congrats on a tremendous season to Coach Alesha Robertson-Ellis and the Wayland Baptist Flying Queens.
