UBS Labor of Love Blood Drive

Victims of Hurricane Katrina could depend on blood donations to survive. Here in Lubbock, people are doing their part to donate locally. You never know when you will need blood. The 9th Annual Mix 100 Labor of Love Blood Drive beganins Monday morning. To ensure there isn't a shortage, United Blood Services is asking you to donate blood.

If you donate, you can win many prizes. Each donor will receive a t-shirt and will be registered to win one of six portable cd players. Everyone will be included in a drawing for a Carnival Cruise and an MP3 player. It gets even better, there's an early bird special. If you donate Monday you will get a 'Ride all the Rides' pass from Joyland.

You can stop by daily at UBS, 48th and University from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. UBS mobile unit will be traveling to different towns. The unit will be in Tahoka Monday. The drive continues through Saturday.

To donate you must be

  • 17 years-old
  • Weigh at least 110 lbs.
  • Be in good health
  • carry a valid ID
