Northeast Lubbock fire takes 2 homes

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A fire in northeast Lubbock, close to Idalou claimed two homes on Saturday evening.

The fire is reported to be at 5217 East County Road 6430 near the Lone Star Mobile Home and RV Park off of Idalou Road.The Texas A&M Forest Service has reported there was a total of 13 homes threatened and two homes lost in that area.

Departments from Idalou, New Deal, Roosevelt, Buffalo Springs, Lubbock and the Forest Service are responding to the scene. However, as of around 9:30 a.m. the forest service reported the fire was 100 percent contained.
