South Plains College Texans win 3rd NJCAA National Championship.

The South Plains College Texans entered the 24 team NJCAA National Tournament ranked 13th, but they ended up No. 1 as they capped off an amazing tourney run beating No 10 Southern Idaho 98-95 to win the National Championship at the Hutch in Kansas Saturday night.

The Texans topped No. 20, No. 4,  No.12, No.8 and No.10 in the Tournament to win the 3rd National Title for the College located in Levelland.

SPC led Southern Idaho 51-50 at the half.

Future Red Raider Deshawn Corprew had 21 points to lead the Texans. Keith McGee and Isaiah Maurice, who missed the National Semifinal game both scored 20.  Christopher Orlina chipped in 17.  Ben Perez scored 14.  

Winning their last 8 games of the season, South Plains College finishes with a 28-8 record and a National Championship.
