LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Two suspects are in custody after a chase with law enforcement on Thursday evening.

It started around 6:30 p.m. near 38th Street and Avenue P.

DPS tells us a driver fled while they were attempting to make a traffic stop, leading officers on a lengthy pursuit through the city into Lynn and Terry counties, where the suspect eventually wrecked his vehicle.

The pursuit ended at approximately 7:13 p.m. when the suspect wrecked his vehicle at the intersection of CR 705 and CR 211.

A K9 unit from the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office was deployed to aid in the arrest of 32-year-old Christopher Alexander. The passenger, 34-year-old Lindsey Ruffin, was also taken into custody.
