Red Raider baseball routs Kansas 15-6 in series opener

LAWRENCE, KS (KCBD) - The Red Raiders' bats came alive on the road Friday afternoon, getting 15 hits in a 15-6 rout of Kansas.

Texas Tech scored 4 in the 2nd and 9 in the 4th to pull away from the Jayhawks.

Gabe Holt went 3 for 5 with 6 RBI and 4 runs scored.

Davis Martin went 5 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts.

Texas Tech moves to 25-6 overall and 4-3 in conference.

Game 2 is Saturday afternoon in Lawrence.
