After two seasons with the Lady Raider Basketball team, sophomore Grayson Bright has announced she will be transferring from Texas Tech.
Bright played in 27 games last season for the Lady Raiders, where she started 24 of them.
This past season, she averaged 25.4 minutes per game, tallying 84 points, 20 steals and 12 blocks.
Bright announced her intention to transfer via her Twitter account.
"I want to thank Texas Tech University, the alumni, fans, students, the coaches that took time to recruit me, the administration and most importantly my teammates for the time well spent in Lubbock these past two years," Bright said via her Twitter. "With that being said, after countless emotional talks with God and my mom, I have decided to transfer from Texas Tech. I wish nothing but the best for Tech athletics and the women I consider my sisters."
Bright has yet to announce where she plans to transfer to. Her decision comes less than 24 hours after the hiring of new Lady Raider head coach Marlene Stollings.
