LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock ISD students were affected by a statewide outage in the STAAR test system on Tuesday.
LISD representatives tell us 969 students were taking the STAAR test online when the server disruption hit around 11:15 a.m. The outage was resolved by 11:35 a.m., but LISD students had their tests delayed anywhere between 15 minutes and an hour and a half.
Students were logged out of their tests and were not able to log back in during this time, but teachers handled it by telling students to take breaks, trying to avoid any more stress.
The biggest concerns were with the writing tests because the outage could disrupt flow.
LISD tells us this was specifically a statewide STAAR system problem, not an LISD problem.
