LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Florida man is now in custody after LPD SWAT responded to a call of shots fired on Friday afternoon.

Police say the incident started as a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of East 7th Street. Police say the suspect, 21-year-old Ashaundre Grimes, was arguing with an ex-girlfriend, then rammed his car into another vehicle and fired off shots from a gun before driving away.

No one was injured.

Patrol officers found a vehicle that matched the description in the 100 block of Zenith.

Since Grimes was known to be armed and had already fired shots, a SWAT team and hostage negotiators were called to the scene.

Grimes and two other people came out of the house without incident.

Police say Grimes will likely face aggravated assault charges.
